Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Acute to join our team at St. Bernardine Medical Center. As a key member of our orthopedic care team, you will be responsible for coordinating total patient care for assigned patients, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles, and interpreting patient data to identify individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care for assigned patients, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication among healthcare team members.
  • Assess patient data, including medical history, physical condition, and treatment plans, to identify individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including medication management, wound care, and pain management.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Current California RN License
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • 1 year of experience in orthopedic nursing or a related field (preferable)
