Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Specialist to join our team at Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, diagnosing and treating injuries and degenerative bone conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat injuries and degenerative bone conditions, including prescribing medications and ordering lab tests as needed.
  • Take patients' histories, use specialized equipment to determine the extent of a fracture or injury, and determine the best mode of treatment.
  • Treat acute and chronic injuries, bone conditions, and pain, and discuss options with patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and provide follow-up care.
  • Perform physical exams and take medical histories to identify possible causes of pain or injury, and prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as needed to treat patients.
  • Order diagnostic tests such as x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and blood tests to aid in diagnosis, and communicate with other healthcare providers involved in patient care.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment plans, answer their questions, and provide follow-up care, and monitor patients' healing processes and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
  • Arrange rehabilitation plans after surgeries, supervise and assign duties to nurses and other medical staff, and refer patients to other specialists for further treatment or recovery plans.
  • Enhance your abilities and remain up to date through attending medical conferences and courses, and perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A medical degree in orthopedics and the successful completion of a fellowship and residency.
  • A license and certification to practice medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • A good working knowledge of the methods and equipment used in orthopedics.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work shifts and remain on call for emergency situations.
