Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Duke University Hospital. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and effective radiation therapy to patients with cancer. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ionizing radiographic and radiation therapy equipment.

• Administer radiation therapy to patients with cancer, following precise treatment plans and protocols.
• Operate and maintain ionizing radiographic and radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their physical and emotional needs throughout the treatment process.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Satisfactory completion of a 24-month course in radiology technology and a 12-month course in radiation therapy technology.
• Current licensure as required by state or national authority and/or certification or board eligibility in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiology Technology.
• Maintain ARRT certification in radiation therapy with a minimum of documented 12 hours of continuing education.
