Job Description

Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) is seeking a highly qualified Classified Material Control Specialist to support the United States Department of Energy's Office of Classification (OC) in Germantown, Maryland, as a Program Specialist.

This is a critical position that has a direct impact on our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accountability and control of Top Secret (TS), Foreign Government, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) documents in accordance with DOE procedures.
  • Enter required data into the DOE Classified Action Tracking System (CATS) for each document review request received and prepare document review action packages for processing.
  • Enter required data into CATS for each completed document review action package.
  • Receive, document, and distribute classified materials directed to the OC and its sub-offices.
  • Record receipt of classified communications, inventory received classified material, and complete and return acknowledgments of receipt of classified documents.
  • Prepare outgoing classified materials generated by the OC and its sub-offices for shipment.
  • Produce duplicates of outgoing materials as required by OC procedures.
  • Inventories outgoing classified communications and prepare acknowledgments of receipts.
  • Ensure acknowledgements of receipt are received for all outbound classified document traffic.
  • Maintain accountability and control of Classified Removable Electronic Media in accordance with DOE procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current, fully adjudicated Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance to apply.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Federal Government office correspondence requirements.
  • Knowledge of the DOE classification program including the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended, Executive Order 13526, and DOE security orders.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and constructive relationship with team members, employees, and clients.
