**Job Summary:**

Golden Haven Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development and Training to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing orientation, educational, and learning opportunities to our staff in a supportive environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by nursing personnel to ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards.
  • Direct the infection prevention and control program and its activities to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Model a positive and professional image that reflects the organization's mission and values, and promotes a spirit of cooperation among team members.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues and promote teamwork by sharing information and expertise to achieve desired results.

Requirements:

  • Current California Director of Staff Development (DSD) Certification, CPR/First Aid, and Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure (to be maintained as active and in good standing during employment).
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), acute care, or hospital environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all facility staff members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a SNF, acute care, or hospital environment.
  • 1 year of experience in a SNF environment.

License/Certifications:

  • DSD Certification.
  • LVN Licensure.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
