Position Overview

We are looking for a committed Customer Service Specialist to manage all interactions related to the intake of patient information regarding durable medical equipment and respiratory products. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless communication with patients, colleagues, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to comply with industry standards.
  • Process and coordinate patient information efficiently.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of products, services, and relevant regulations.
  • Handle all aspects of patient intake, including phone inquiries and paperwork processing.
  • Ensure adequate office supplies are maintained.
  • Prepare comprehensive files for the billing department.
  • Assist with retail equipment requests and provide technical support to customers.
  • Verify insurance coverage and work with external agencies to resolve issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience in the medical field and familiarity with administrative processes.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME).
  • Understanding of insurance policies and medical billing practices.
