Research and Development

The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Kansas is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for designing and executing experiments related to carbon capture and utilization, as well as natural hydrogen systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct original research on laboratory measurements related to carbon capture and utilization, and natural hydrogen systems.
  • Perform experiments, process data, analyze results, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

Reporting and Collaboration

You will work closely with our faculty members to prepare grants, reports, presentations, and papers for peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, you will collaborate with researchers from various disciplines to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in geochemistry, including corefloods, CT/Micro-CT, NMR, and PVT, and the ability to process and analyze generated data.
  3. Strong communication skills, as evidenced by written technical papers and prepared technical presentations.
