Respiratory Therapist

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Henry Ford Providence Park in Novi, MI. As a contingent employee, you will work 24 hours per 6-week scheduling period, including holidays, hard-to-fill shifts, and weekends as needed.
Job Responsibilities- Evaluate and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing their needs and developing a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, using advanced respiratory care modalities and administering medications as needed.
- Educate patients and families about their health conditions, providing information about community support groups and other available resources.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes, using your skills and knowledge to provide critical care.
- Associate's degree or technical degree in Respiratory Therapy, or 4 years of cumulative job-specific experience.
- 3-5 years of ICU experience preferred, with NICU experience a plus.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date, with American Heart Association accepted.
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care, with Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
