Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Michigan. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and evaluating the respiratory health of patients with insufficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient respiratory needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory health and provide information about community support groups
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care
  • Advanced Life Support certification preferred
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation and Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
