About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program/Technical SME (Client Relationships) to join our team at Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. as a Business Development Expert. This role will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, positioning, and winning business opportunities in the Federal Civilian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead pipeline development and management using influential skills to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership peers to achieve business objectives by leveraging strategic mindset, program delivery knowledge, and technical skills.
  • Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Capture Lead to develop and execute account and sales plans.
  • Leverage customer experience and existing relationships with agencies and industry partners to maximize current contract vehicles and secure new business opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify potential pursuits by analyzing market opportunities, requirements, and capabilities, evaluating options, adjusting internal priorities, and recommending investments.
  • Develop, manage, and close a qualified pipeline of opportunities to support the company's growth objectives and strategic goals.
  • Develop business development strategies that align with target agencies and develop a winning strategy for all assigned opportunities.
  • Lead the pursuit of opportunities, working with multidisciplinary teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Ensure opportunities are successfully moved through the opportunity lifecycle and present strategic deals and pipelines to executive leadership teams.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience at FDA pursuing new business and writing winning proposals.
  • Exhibits a deep understanding of government contracting and target agencies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage multi-agency, multi-year pipelines.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience cultivating and managing pipelines, forecasting, and closing deals.
  • Ability to shape and deliver on a strategy to cultivate new customer relationships in strategic Federal agencies.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Relevant years of experience may be substituted for education.
  • Extensive experience with government contracting and pipeline development and a proven track record of winning opportunities with target agencies.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to navigate in an office setting unassisted.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Strong speaking skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and excellent word enunciation skills, are required.
