Job Title: Treasurer Clerk II

Woodbury County, IA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Treasurer Clerk II to join our team. As a key member of our Treasurer's Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing various transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone inquiries and refer to proper resources when necessary
  • Handle taxpayer inquiries related to real estate, mobile homes, and other taxes collected by the County Treasurer
  • Issue titles and registration renewals for Motor Vehicles and perform duties related to legislative policies and procedures
  • Transfer titles, including issuing junking certificates, replacement titles, and registration renewals
  • Perform various clerical duties, including assisting with tax sales and maintaining physical and electronic files
  • Assist customers with payments, answer questions, and prepare licenses, titles, and legal documents for recording processes
  • Prepare and maintain accurate files and records, and ensure timely and efficient posting and balancing of licenses, titles, and legal documents
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
  • Specific knowledge of a body of rules or operations for a particular functional area or areas, acquired in 1-3 years of prior related experience
  • Experience working with Excel, Microsoft, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn County software
  • Personal maturity to safeguard confidential information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in clearly spoken English
