About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist-Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation. As a Specialist-Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes by providing comprehensive clinical services and ensuring optimal medication use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage pharmacy practice effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Contribute to goals, programs, and report cards for the unit/department/hospital.
  • Participate in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes, collaborating with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and direct healthcare team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on medication use and management.
  • Participate in projects and studies to enhance professional knowledge and patient care, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
  • Manage medication orders, ensuring safe and effective use of medications, including age-specific considerations.
  • Process and prepare sterile products for dispensing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Complete assigned goals, contributing to the success of the department and the hospital.
Requirements

We require a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree, with a strong background in pharmacy practice and clinical services. Preferred qualifications include post-graduate education in health-system pharmacy services and membership with state and/or national hospital pharmacy associations.
