Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general cleaning tasks in maintaining patient rooms, offices, nurses stations, or other assigned areas of Mercy Medical Center. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and other assigned areas to maintain a sanitary and attractive environment.
- Strip, wax, and polish floors to ensure a safe and clean surface.
- Extract, shampoo, and spot carpets and upholstery to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Remove trash and linen from the hospital and take soiled rags and mops to the soiled hold.
- Operate floor care equipment and maintain it in good working condition.
- Follow hospital dress code and attend monthly department meetings to stay informed about changes in environmental services.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
