Job Summary:

The Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mill's electrical systems through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, a keen eye for safety, and a collaborative spirit.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine electrical/electronic preventative maintenance on mill equipment.
  • Repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to prevent or correct irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adhere to and execute prescribed maintenance schedules in a safe and effective manner.
  • Perform tasks like wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic devices.
  • Perform test readings using several different instruments, including but not limited to multi-meter and megger.
  • Remain current in technical changes or equipment designs by attending industry training sessions or classes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of experience as an Electrician.
  • Prior maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with supervision, tradespersons, and operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge and practice of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
  • Familiarity with the State and NEC codes for electrical installations.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting AC/DC systems and knowledge of AC/DC drive programming.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting and the Wood Products industry is preferred.
