Position Overview

The Wellness Associate will report directly to the Wellness Director and Wellness Manager, providing essential services and care tailored to each resident's individual service plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility support.
  • Monitor residents' physical and mental health, promptly reporting any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Help coordinate shift coverage during unexpected absences.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Wellness Associates.
  • Respond to resident emergencies, providing first aid and arranging for necessary medical follow-up.
  • Assist residents in maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Promptly address calls for assistance and attend to resident needs.
  • Support residents with meal selection and feeding as required.
  • Participate in activity programs as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policy.
  • Engage in a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all emergency procedures and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with the Wellness Director and other staff members.
  • Report any changes in residents' health to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Qualifications:
  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience and a genuine passion for working with seniors.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Capable of fostering positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • In good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift as needed.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods.
  • May be required to use assistive devices such as a Hoyer Lift.
Additional Information:
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Subject to background checks and drug testing.
