Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Your Tailor Made Senior Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Work alongside Physical Therapists to provide physical therapy treatments and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in the development of treatment plans, taking into account patient goals and objectives, and work with Physical Therapists to modify plans as needed.
  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately document patient progress, including treatment outcomes and any changes to treatment plans.
  • Communicate with Caregivers and Family Members: Communicate effectively with caregivers and family members to ensure they are informed and involved in the patient's care.
  • Operate Equipment and Maintain a Safe Environment: Safely operate equipment and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associates degree or certification from a physical therapy program that included course study in anatomy and physiology, and clinical experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service and patient care skills, basic understanding of physical therapy and medical terminology.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking are required for this role.
  • Lifting and Transferring Patients: Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients as needed.
  • Frequent Reaching and Bending: Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching are required for this role.
