Position Summary
Collective Voice seeks a Product Designer to enhance our Design team, collaborating to refine, iterate, and manage the user experience of our products (creator/influencer platform) from initial concept through testing to launch. This role necessitates effective collaboration with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders. It presents a unique opportunity to work alongside seasoned product designers, gaining domain expertise in design within a rapidly growing sector of influencer and creator marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transform broad, conceptual ideas into design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant across supported platforms.
- Create digital user interfaces, develop high-fidelity visual designs, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems for web-based applications and technologies, focusing on aesthetics and scalable design across various Collective Voice applications and ecosystems.
- Collaborate with product designers, product managers, engineers, and content strategists to iterate and oversee the user experience of a product from conception through testing to launch.
- Provide and receive feedback from fellow designers to continuously elevate the quality standards of Collective Voice.
- Engage with product managers on moderate-scope problems where analysis of situations or data requires consideration of various factors.
- Work with related teams in marketing and legal to ensure compliance of design solutions.
- Expertise in Figma.
- Proficient in web and mobile design, with a proven history of creating intuitive and impactful user interfaces for web (desktop, tablet, mobile) and mobile applications.
- Experience in designing for iOS platforms, familiar with iOS design guidelines and best practices for optimal user experience.
- Adopt a mobile-first design philosophy, demonstrating the ability to prioritize mobile usability and performance in the design process while expanding mobile experiences to desktop.
- Strong command of color, typography, and visual hierarchy, with the ability to utilize and contribute to design systems.
- Create Figma documentation to ensure team alignment (context, problem, etc.).
- Experience in the full lifecycle of Lean/Agile delivery models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and bridge the gap between design and engineering.
- Apply knowledge of standards and best practices across multiple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS, Windows, etc.) to enhance user experience.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Experience implementing accessibility best practices (WCAG).
- Passion for designing digital products and experiences, with a focus on creativity and empowering users.
- Attention to detail and pride in delivered work.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
- Strong judgment, positive energy, and curiosity about the business context.
- Effective communication skills to present complex conceptual ideas visually and verbally.
- 3+ years of experience in building and delivering applications or software, focusing on complete features or products across various platforms.
- Expertise in interaction design, including defining user experience behaviors based on user needs.
- Experience in conducting end-to-end design processes across multiple projects, including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Ability to understand product goals, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions impacting internal and external users.
- Proficient in creating user flows and mockups to convey design concepts.
- Skilled in defining product specifications and user experiences.
- Ability to interpret user research and usability testing findings.
