Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to support our team in Newton, Massachusetts.
Job SummaryThe Anesthesia Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia department. This includes setting up, maintaining, and testing anesthesia equipment, as well as providing general assistance to anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and maintain anesthesia equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Provide general assistance to anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists on clinical activities
- Inventories and orders supplies from purchasing, storeroom, and pharmacy as needed
- Collaborate with hospital departments to arrange for preventive maintenance and repairs
- Perform light maintenance and calibrations of equipment as specified by manufacturer
- Assist in the provision of basic nursing care to assigned patients
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred
- Self-directed and able to work well independently
