Position Overview:

We are a dynamic manufacturing firm seeking a skilled Accountant to become part of our team. In this position, you will assist the Accounting Manager with various accounting tasks. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting month-end and year-end reconciliation processes
  • Generating and analyzing weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Documenting and processing fixed assets and depreciation entries
  • Reconciling accounts receivable, accounts payable, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
  • Preparing and validating weekly accounts payable disbursements
  • Assisting with annual audits and year-end inventory assessments
  • Reconciling bank accounts and corporate credit cards
  • Completing J-SOX documentation
  • Utilizing 10-key data entry for ERP system updates
  • Learning to support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as a backup
  • Submitting weekly payroll and general ledger reports
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure project completion
  • Providing daily support to accounting specialists
  • Communicating with team members regarding accounting enhancements and initiatives
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Education: An Associate's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant high-volume accounting experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounts payable, general ledger, and reconciliation processes
    • Familiarity with GAAP standards
    • Ability to perform 10-key data entry efficiently
    • Experience with MS Excel, including the use of spreadsheets and formulas
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Background in manufacturing accounting
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes
  • Experience in payroll accounting
