Job Overview

The role of the Activity Assistant is vital in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and enriching atmosphere for residents at Mustang Creek Estates. This position involves supporting the Activity Director in the development and execution of various activity programs aimed at enhancing the mental, physical, and social wellness of individuals in the memory care units.

Key Responsibilities:

The following tasks are standard for this role, with additional responsibilities as assigned:

  • Design and implement three to four suitable activities daily, tailored to the interests and needs of residents, while considering available staff.
  • Develop the monthly activity schedule, ensuring it undergoes the necessary approval process before distribution to residents.
  • Conduct large group, small group, and individual activities to provide companionship, sensory engagement, cognitive stimulation, and reality orientation.
  • Communicate any changes in scheduled activities to residents and staff promptly.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements for events.
  • Continuously assess the quality and participation of programs through feedback from residents and families.
  • Assist residents in attending activities or events.

Qualifications:

Experience in assisted living or memory care activities is required.

Work Schedule:

This is a Full-Time position, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule that may include occasional weekend shifts.
