Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Representative to join our team at Rose International. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for observing construction activities, providing company representation, and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of personnel by taking direct preventive measures, participating effectively in weekly safety meetings, and ensuring all related standards, rules, and laws are followed.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents, and conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses.
  • Communicate with the project group concerning all aspects of construction, coordinate work activities between the plant operator and contractor, and ensure that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods.
  • Monitor current and future activities to ensure plans and schedules maximize productivity, control costs, and meet or exceed quality requirements.
  • Conduct field measurements to confirm material quantities and drawing dimensions, monitor the execution of contractor project activities, and evaluate construction techniques in terms of quality, safety, timeline schedule, and cost efficiencies.
  • Perform reporting activities that monitor, track, and detail site activities in areas of importance such as cost overruns, deviations in design, change order requests, schedule, and stakeholder issues.
  • Monitor progress of site activities, evaluate tasks to eliminate waste, and recommend corrective actions to ensure the project remains within schedule and budget.
  • Identify non-conforming work during construction activities and work with the contractor to address.
  • Support management in punch-list definition, identifying remaining activities to be completed, and provide input based on lessons learned to the management team for use in future projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, plus five (5) years supervising construction, or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, plus seven (7) years supervising construction, or Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in a supervisory position on a multidisciplinary, technical project within the industrial, power, utility, or oil industries.
  • Massachusetts Driver's License (Required), Construction Supervisor's License, Journeyman's Pipefitters License, and Journeyman's Electrical License.
  • Knowledge of LNG, power, or other plant construction, operations, and maintenance principles, practices, safety standards, and business processes.
  • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods, and processes, and experience with electrical, instrumentation, controls, piping, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), strong written and communication skills, and proven problem-solving, schedule management, project administration, and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and local candidates are preferred, with travel to local offices and facilities required.
