Job Title: Public Affairs Manager

Under the direction of the Deputy of External Affairs, the Public Affairs Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization, direction, coordination, evaluation, and management of media relations for the Department of Transportation. The Public Affairs Manager is responsible for media relations, strategic planning, and project delivery support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of media relations strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate and execute media events and press conferences
  • Develop and disseminate press releases and other communications materials
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State-owned or leased vehicle
  • Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required
  • Experience working with media and developing communications strategies
  • Experience in project delivery and management
