Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Olympia, WA area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients in a remote learning environment.

About the Role
  • Remote work setting with occasional school-based openings
  • Part-time preferred: 24 hours a week
  • Middle school focus

As a Teletherapy SLP, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations, providing therapy sessions, and collaborating with educators and families to support students' speech and language development.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment
    • Administer standardized assessments and informal evaluations remotely
    • Gather data through digital tools to track progress and inform treatment decisions
  • Therapy Delivery
    • Provide individual or group therapy sessions via video conferencing
    • Create engaging, interactive materials tailored to students' needs
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work with educators to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment
    • Engage with families to discuss progress, provide strategies for home support, and address concerns
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress notes
    • Prepare reports for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Professional Development
    • Stay updated on best practices in teletherapy, including new tools and techniques
    • Participate in training focused on teletherapy practices and technology

Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
