Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Maui, Hawaii.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes. As a COTA, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and improve the overall quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives, in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote the client's health, safety, and independent living.
  • Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided.
Requirements:
  • Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in HI.
  • Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; or
  • Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
  • Have at least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
