About the Role:

As an AML Quality Control and Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for performing thorough reviews of AML alerts and cases, identifying potential risks associated with financial crimes, and applying research and analytical techniques to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing AML alert/case reviews to mitigate risks associated with financial crimes
  • Applying research and analytical techniques to identify potential risks
  • Conducting end-to-end reviews of potential illegal or suspicious activity
  • Completing time-sensitive analyses of Anti-Money Laundering activity and suspicious financial activity
  • Avoiding potential Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filings
  • Documenting findings in narrative format and preparing updates for Project Managers/Team Leads
  • Making determinations for potential SAR filings

Requirements:

  • 5 days in office required
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 2+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance)
  • Experience working with manual and system-generated alerts/cases for the detection of potentially suspicious activity
  • Ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crime
  • 1 or more years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience supporting TMS alerts, and/or financial regulatory compliance
  • Strong experience using Excel for reporting
