Cost Estimator

Position: Cost Estimator at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation

Metal Sales is a prominent manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems across the United States, with operations in multiple locations nationwide. Our Deer Lake, PA facility is currently seeking a skilled Cost Estimator.

In the role of Cost Estimator, you will be instrumental in supporting the Sales and Customer Service departments by generating estimates for various customer projects. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients and architects to assess cost elements for construction initiatives, as well as reviewing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other related documentation. Proficiency in software applications such as AppliCad, Top View, Retro Master, and AutoCAD is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executing take-offs utilizing advanced estimating software
• Assessing testing requirements outlined in project documentation
• Creating precise and comprehensive project documents detailing necessary materials
• Compiling and delivering project quotes to production staff
• Addressing inquiries from both internal teams and clients

Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

• At least 2 years of experience in the building materials industry
• Prior experience in estimating and detailing commercial construction projects
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and various estimating software including AutoCAD, AppliCad, and Top View
• Preferred: Associate degree in Architectural Drafting/AutoCAD; High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Exceptional customer service orientation
