Position: Cost Estimator at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation

Metal Sales is a prominent manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems across the United States, operating in multiple locations nationwide. We are currently seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Sales and Customer Service departments by generating accurate estimates for client projects. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients and architects to assess cost elements for construction initiatives, reviewing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other related documentation. Proficiency in software applications such as AppliCad, Top View, Retro Master, and AutoCAD is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting take-offs utilizing advanced estimating software
• Assessing testing requirements as outlined in project documentation
• Creating precise and comprehensive project documents detailing necessary materials
• Providing project quotes to manufacturing personnel
• Addressing inquiries from both internal teams and clients

Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

• At least 2 years of experience in the building materials industry
• Prior experience in estimating and detailing commercial construction projects
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and various estimating software, including AutoCAD, AppliCad, and Top View
• Preferred: Associate degree in Architectural Drafting/AutoCAD; High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Exceptional customer service orientation
