Cost Estimator

Position: Estimator at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation

Metal Sales is a prominent manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems across the United States, operating in multiple locations nationwide. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Estimator.

In this position, you will be integral to supporting the Sales and Customer Service departments by delivering precise estimates for customer projects. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients and architects to assess cost elements for construction endeavors, reviewing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other relevant project documentation. Proficiency in software applications such as AppliCad, Top View, Retro Master, and AutoCAD is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Executing take-offs utilizing advanced estimating software
• Assessing testing criteria outlined in project documentation
• Creating accurate and comprehensive project documents detailing required materials
• Compiling and supplying project quotes to production personnel
• Addressing inquiries from both internal teams and clients

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in the building materials industry
• Prior experience in estimating and detailing commercial projects
• Strong mathematical skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and various estimating software including AutoCAD, AppliCad, and Top View
• Preferred: Associate degree in Architectural Drafting/AutoCAD; High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Exceptional customer service orientation
