THE POSITION:
MBI is in search of a highly organized and mission-driven Operations Project Coordinator to become a vital part of our team. This role offers the chance to support innovative broadband and digital equity initiatives that positively impact lives. The Operations Project Coordinator will provide essential project management assistance to the MBI team, ensuring the effective operation and execution of all MBI programs.
The MBI team is dedicated to achieving Internet access for all in the Commonwealth. This position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team, engage in a highly visible economic development priority, and make a meaningful difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in MBI program operations and grants management.
- Comprehend and support the lifecycle of grant programs and contracts, including budget preparation and monitoring, report generation, invoice review, progress tracking, contract compliance, and stakeholder communication.
- Facilitate seamless communication among executives, team members, and MassTech divisions.
- Support the planning and execution of special projects and events.
- Ensure high-quality project deliverables that comply with contract stipulations.
- Provide project management support to program staff.
- Attend offsite meetings as necessary, which may not be accessible via public transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Experience in project management or related fields is advantageous.
- Industry certifications, subject matter expertise in telecommunications, broadband, or public administration, or experience in grant administration and management are beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Collaborative team player.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Interest in ongoing process enhancement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
