Job Title: Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for managing and driving complex insurance defense cases.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a wide variety of insurance defense cases independently, from initial client meeting to case resolution.
  • Conduct extensive and detailed legal research to identify the best defense strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance matters, including coverage disputes and negligence claims.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to stay abreast of current trends in insurance defense.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and legal developments.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including experience with insurance coverage litigation, automobile negligence, and premise liability.
  • Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
