Join us for the Operating Room Charge Nurse position.Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operations within the unit during their shift.
Working alongside the management team, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing care according to established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate admission and discharge processes to ensure effective patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engage in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Work with experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that promotes better outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support the facility's engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.
- Provide input on hiring, training, and development of new staff.- Recommend and execute actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in line with patient care requirements and productivity standards.- Ensure proper inventory management and assist in overseeing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Registered Nurse license or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate Degree/Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Charge Nurse role.
