Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnograph Tech to join our team at Rush University. As a Polysomnograph Tech, you will play a critical role in conducting polysomnographic testing and providing technical analysis of the subsequent data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct polysomnographic testing and provide technical analysis of the data
  • Communicate sleep study-related information to patients, families, nursing, and medical staff as necessary
  • Exemplify the Rush mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures
  • Perform routine polysomnographic testing and provide technical analysis of the subsequent data
  • Conduct in-lab seizure monitoring, multiple sleep latency and maintenance of wakefulness testing, and PAP nap protocols
Requirements
  • Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain vigilance in a non-stimulating environment
  • Ability to react calmly in emergency situations and make appropriate and timely decisions
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training as a registered polysomnography technician (R.PSG.T) and/or as a respiratory therapist
Work Environment

The work setting is a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled, and ventilated facility. The Sleep Technologist is generally required to sit and monitor polysomnograms and patients for several continuous hours.
