Polysomnographic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to center-specific protocols.
- Implement appropriate interventions, including continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.
- Work closely with staff members, trainees, and students to provide instruction, education, and precept/mentor in order to deliver optimal testing results.
- Step in as backup in the Lead Tech position to supervise junior staff members.
- Engage and contribute to department QA/QI, PI, and Joint Commission & Patient Family Center Care projects.
- Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option.
- Board Certified examinations with Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology (BRPT), National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) - certification or equivalent required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.
This position is located at Royal Oak Hospital, 3601 W 13 Mile Road, Royal Oak, MI.
