Leasing and Compliance Assistant
Summary: Reporting to the Director of Leasing and Compliance, the Leasing and Compliance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Leasing and Compliance Department by providing essential administrative and office assistance to help achieve the mission of WSFSSH in delivering safe and permanent housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely response to housing inquiries and tracking of application requests.
- Creation of mail merges and monitoring of responses.
- Support the Occupancy team in scheduling interviews.
- Gather and maintain third-party income and asset verification documentation.
- Communicate housing outcomes to applicants through various channels.
- Scan and update documents and files as required.
- Assist with the annual Rent Registration process.
- Manage substantial data related to contract rent increases, legal rents, rent rolls, and compliance deadlines.
- Prepare reports for city, state, and federal agencies accurately and promptly.
- Input information into the property management database.
- Assist with the lease-up process of new developments.
- Occasionally take minutes during meetings.
- Travel between offices and other sites as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions and conferences for professional development.
- Assist with additional duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and office management abilities.
- Capability to independently solve problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and internet navigation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and colleagues across the organization.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- Experience in project management, affordable housing programs, income certification, and property management is a plus.
Education:
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma preferred.
