Position Overview:
Job Title: Release Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee code management, release process, and continuous integration/deployment.
- Facilitate ongoing process enhancements to support software development and QA teams.
- Promote best practices in release management and foster a creative, collaborative environment with Engineering leadership.
- Establish and staff the release engineering team as planned.
- Communicate release details and timelines to stakeholders as necessary.
- Coordinate release content and efforts based on service request backlog, pending requests, third-party applications, or system updates.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to optimize the CI/CD pipeline and its integration with code repositories, testing frameworks, static code analysis, and deployment automation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- 5+ years of experience in release and/or project management.
- Strong understanding of project management principles is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing teams of at least 5 engineers.
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Git, Azure, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
- Experience in creating deployment documentation and implementation plans.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are essential.
Location: Remote
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000 annually. Various factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications may influence pay within this range.
Benefits: The company provides a range of benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, long-term and short-term disability insurance, personal days, paid vacation, paid holidays, and access to the Ascendion Learning Management System.
