Position Overview:

Job Title: Release Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee code management, release process, and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Facilitate ongoing process enhancements to support software development and QA teams.
  • Promote best practices in release management and foster a creative, collaborative environment with Engineering leadership.
  • Establish and staff the release engineering team as planned.
  • Communicate release details and timelines to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Coordinate release content and efforts based on service request backlog, pending requests, third-party applications, or system updates.
  • Collaborate with Development and QA teams to optimize the CI/CD pipeline and its integration with code repositories, testing frameworks, static code analysis, and deployment automation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience in release and/or project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams of at least 5 engineers.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with Git, Azure, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in creating deployment documentation and implementation plans.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are essential.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000 annually. Various factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications may influence pay within this range.
