About the Job

Pellissippi State Community College is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all campus facilities.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $31,200 - $33,290 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and sanitizing procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all campus facilities, including restrooms, corridors, and offices
  • Collect and remove trash and recyclables from buildings and campus grounds
  • Wash windows, clean glass, and polish furniture and woodwork
  • Assist supervisor with building inspections and respond to cleanup calls

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years' experience in commercial cleaning preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely on ladders
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
