Automotive Service Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Blain's Farm & Fleet. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and efficient completion of automotive services, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Assist customers with their purchases in a customer service and sales-focused environment, providing personalized attention and ensuring a positive experience.
- Service Operations: Utilize computers to determine product inventory levels and product arrival dates, set up work orders for customers, schedule service work, and communicate with the service department to ensure seamless execution.
- Communication: Explain work orders and invoices to customers, providing clear and concise information to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
- Retail Cashier Duties: Perform retail cashier duties by obtaining and processing customer payments, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Install batteries, balance wheels, repair and install tires when required, perform oil changes using LOF procedures, and demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures.
- Customer Insights: Ability to interpret vehicle inspection results and make appropriate service recommendations to customers, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Communication Skills: Must have great communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and coworkers.
- Background Checks: Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English, with a strong understanding of automotive terminology and concepts.
- Teamwork: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers, working collaboratively to achieve common goals.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior auto repair experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of automotive systems and procedures.
- Retail Experience: Prior retail experience is also preferred, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
