Computer-Aided Manufacturing Technician

Overview:
The CAM Technician is responsible for transforming diverse data formats into precise plot files suitable for laser writing equipment. This role may also involve liaising with clients to manage pricing and shipping details in conjunction with internal accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Address customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with clients to produce accurate worksheets and pricing estimates.
- Verify the correctness of mask specifications and shipping instructions in partnership with customers and internal personnel.
- Procure specialized materials or services as required for client projects.
- Maintain organized data files for customer inquiries.
- Employ software applications such as AutoCAD, DraftSight, and Illustrator to convert data files into plot files that align with customer specifications and equipment capabilities.
- Create and obtain approval for PDF checkplot files, making necessary adjustments until final approval is granted.
- Coordinate payment details with clients or internal accounting staff.
- Transform checkplot files into plot files following payment coordination and dispatch them to plotters.
- Guarantee the accurate production of requested items for each order.
- Assist team members whenever feasible and contribute to process improvement discussions.
- Advocate for enhancements to the business model, including expedited turnaround times, competitive pricing, and tailored service.
