The Medical Director will prioritize patient safety and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.
Acadia Healthcare is a prominent provider of behavioral health services, operating a vast network of facilities that offer essential treatment for individuals facing addiction and co-occurring disorders. Our facility is dedicated to providing personalized care through a team of experienced professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists, all committed to supporting our patients on their path to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality and efficiency of clinical services within the facility.
- Establish and implement medical protocols and assist in clinical decision-making.
- Provide direct patient care and collaborate with other departments to enhance service delivery.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, ensuring adherence to established policies.
- Act as a liaison between medical staff and organizational leadership.
- Monitor compliance with medical and clinical policies among assigned staff.
- Provide backup call coverage as needed.
- Participate in the training and development of healthcare personnel.
- Conduct patient assessments and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
- Address behavioral and mental health issues while maintaining accurate medical records.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting and billing processes.
- Develop and implement strategic goals and policies for the facility.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) is required.
- Board certification in Psychiatry is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a Medical Director role is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- Current DEA credentials for prescribing controlled substances.
