Flowserve Corporation is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our Taneytown, MD facility.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual lathes, with exposure to CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the general manufacturing environment, including safety protocols, precision tool grinding, and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Machining castings on manual and CNC machines to within a +/-.001 tolerance
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area, including tooling and machinery
  • Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes
  • Operating precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges
  • Working in a team-oriented and CIP environment
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
  • Experience with manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills
  • Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and blueprints
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and CIP environment
