CNC Machinist

Flowserve Corporation is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our Taneytown, MD facility.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the general manufacturing environment, including safety protocols, precision tool grinding, and inspection equipment.
Responsibilities:- Machining castings on manual and CNC machines to within a +/-.001 tolerance
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area, including tooling and machinery
- Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes
- Operating precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges
- Working in a team-oriented and CIP environment
- 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
- Experience with manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
- Able to stand for long periods, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Machinist certification, training, or degree related to machining
- Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification
