Flowserve Corporation is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our Taneytown, MD facility.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the general manufacturing environment, including safety protocols, precision tool grinding, and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Machining castings on manual and CNC machines to within a +/-.001 tolerance
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area, including tooling and machinery
  • Accurately reading and interpreting blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes
  • Operating precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges
  • Working in a team-oriented and CIP environment
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
  • Experience with manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills
  • Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and blueprints
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow complex verbal and written instructions
