Registered Nurse Labor/Delivery Surgical Assistant

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor/Delivery Surgical Assistant. As a key member of our perinatal healthcare team, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in our OB-GYN unit, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the perinatal unit, including obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with surgical procedures in the operating room, demonstrating expertise in scrub and surgical assist roles.
- Participate in cross-training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient education.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of one year perinatal experience preferred.
- NRP, or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR.
- Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
- Able to function in stressful situations.
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
