Registered Nurse Labor/Delivery Surgical Assistant

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal team. As a Labor/Delivery Surgical Assistant, you will provide exceptional care to our patients, utilizing your expertise in obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing. Responsibilities- Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Perinatal unit, incorporating emotional support and education with superior medical and nursing care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient well-being and satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-training to Surgical assist, scrub, and circulate in the Operating Room, maintaining position-specific qualifications.
- Document patient information accurately and timely, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Reassess patient conditions, evaluate patient responses, and modify care plans accordingly.
- Accept charge responsibilities, assigning staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirements.
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- A minimum of one year perinatal experience preferred.
- NRP, or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able to perform as Scrub and Surgical Assist in OB OR.
- Level I and II fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
- Able to function in stressful situations.
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
Our Perinatal/OB-GYN unit provides a dynamic and supportive environment, with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine years of age.
