Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory analysis and quality control testing following clearly defined criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory analysis and quality control testing following clearly defined criteria
  • Report any unusual conditions to the Senior Tech, Coordinator over that area, in the absence of the Director or the Pathologist
  • Perform common testing procedures and report test results
  • Perform instrument maintenance and calibration and troubleshooting
  • Perform quality control testing
  • Maintain supplies needed for performance of tests
  • Perform collections, clerical duties, and administration
  • Responsible for order and result entry into laboratory information systems
  • Deliver direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served

Requirements:

  • Prior lab experience and knowledge
  • ASCP certification preferred or eligible
