We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Energy Technician II to join our team at NovaSource Power. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the management and completion of all service-related work with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of solar systems.
- Corrective Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair solar systems and associated equipment to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with solar systems and related equipment.
- Module Cleaning: Clean and maintain solar panels to ensure maximum energy production.
- Adherence to Safety Procedures: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement new ideas to enhance service delivery.
- Electronic Monitoring Setup: Configure and maintain electronic monitoring systems to track solar system performance.
- Education and Experience: 1+ years of Residential Solar O&M experience required. 3+ years of Residential Solar Installation experience required. 3+ years of previous field construction experience required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated expertise in Residential Solar Commissioning or Installation. Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards is required. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
- NABCEP Certification: Prior Residential and/or Commercial Solar O&M (service) experience. Experience maintaining and servicing solar monitoring systems. Experience maintaining and servicing solar inverters/micro-inverters.
