Come be a part of a dynamic team where innovation meets expertise. As a highly decentralized organization, we rely on individuals with the aptitude, attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive our success. We're committed to attracting and retaining top talent.
A qualified Engineering Intern (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical) must be a student who is either currently enrolled full-time in an accredited four (4) year engineering program or a recent engineering graduate. The individual must possess appropriate analytical/problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervisory direction, and a sound understanding of basic engineering fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:- Become familiar with RSCC Wire & Cable LLC, its products, markets, organization, and manufacturing processes and culture.
- Work on suitable/appropriate projects assigned by and under the direction of the department manager.
- Develop, review with management, and assist in implementing solutions to encountered problems.
- Prepare a monthly Summary Report of progress and accomplishments for review by management. Also, at the end of the internship period, prepare a final report covering the entire intern period for review by management.
- Be responsible for and complete all internship requirements of the enrolled university (if applicable).
These are the general duties required to fulfill the Engineering Intern job description, not a detailed description of all work required. New duties and responsibilities may be added and required to meet the changing demands of the business and/or work schedules, and will be reviewed with the intern, as required.
Requirements:- Enrollment in a four (4) year accredited university level engineering program.
- Familiarization and basic proficiency with computers/PCs and the following software packages: Word, Excel, Ansys, & AutoCAD.
- Possess a self-motivated desire to learn and succeed.
- Mature judgment; common sense, and disciplined approach to problematic issues.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate ability to interface appropriately with all levels of the organization and follow-up on open issues, as appropriate.
