Plant Manager Job Description

HotRun Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our high-speed packaging plant with over 100 employees. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and managing all plant operations, ensuring the highest standards of production, maintenance, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee plant operations, including personnel, logistics, production, maintenance, and commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with the HACCP and Food Safety Team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve manufacturing objectives, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, including KPIs and contract negotiations.
  • Implement cost-effective systems for capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging participation from teams and driving innovation.
  • Establish and monitor plant performance metrics for production and quality standards.
  • Minimize labor overtime and repair expenses, holding departments accountable.
  • Maintain and upgrade plant facilities and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide leadership, development, and direction to managers to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Communicate with senior managers to improve future objectives for the plant.
  • Develop initiatives to improve manufacturing process operations and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure teamwork, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Review and approve plans for controlling output, budget spending, material efficiency, and engineering effectiveness.
  • Supervise and manage employees, establishing strong working relationships with other functional managers.
  • Liaise with customers on day-to-day requirements.
  • Ensure health and safety in the workplace.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or five years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance engineering.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and standards.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented individual with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
