Role Responsibilities:As a Payroll Specialist at Beck Automotive, you will be instrumental in managing payroll processes for our restaurant clientele. Your knowledge of restaurant payroll regulations will be vital in ensuring compliance and precision in payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Management: Accurately handle payroll for various restaurant clients, encompassing both hourly and salaried employees.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws specific to the restaurant industry, including tip reporting and overtime calculations.
- Record Maintenance: Keep precise and confidential payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports, including tax filings and employee benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on changes in payroll laws affecting the restaurant industry and implement necessary adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work alongside HR and management teams to support payroll initiatives and provide guidance on payroll policies.
- Experience: At least 4 years in payroll processing, with a focus on the restaurant sector.
- Education: AA-Degree or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of restaurant payroll laws, including tip credits and overtime regulations.
- Skills: Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in payroll processing.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently resolve payroll issues.
- Certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Ability to foster positive employee relationships.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Professional appearance and business attire.
- Self-motivated and a strong team player.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
