Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Veritas Steel LLC. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing FCAW & SMAW processes to codes and standards, including repairs and miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Shop Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for welding operations using proper safety equipment.
  • Use correct procedures to obtain proper weld profile and understand general knowledge of welding codes and tools.
  • Properly prepare, clean, and set up equipment for welding operations.
  • Use hand torches and understand basic weld symbols/gauges.
  • Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability and functioning.
  • Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel to complete projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to read metric tapes.
  • Adaptability to work priorities, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to work safety and participation in our safety culture.
  • Commitment to attendance policy and procedures.
  • Quality, accuracy, and thoroughness of work performed.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, and heavy steel.
  • Required safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
Compensation

$18-$22.16 hourly wage.
